“I’ve spent much of my career paying attention to the distance between what we mean, what we express, and what other people understand.”

Background
I was born in the United States into an Italian-American family, with roots along the Cervo River in Biella and the Trebbia River in Piacenza.
My work has moved through performance, photography, advertising, strategic communication, behavioral work, and projects across cultures and markets.
Across those different forms, the same question kept returning: what someone means, what is expressed, and what another person understands are not always the same.
Buonquillo grew from that question.
Expression and perception
My early work in performance, photography, and advertising made me attentive to the relationship between intention and perception.
A gesture, an image, a sentence, a presentation, or a brand can be carefully made and still be understood differently by the person receiving it.
That interest later brought me into work with professionals in psychology, psychoanalysis, and behavioral practice, including workshops around awareness, emotional patterns, and communication.
Italy and contrast
I moved to Italy in 2021.
Living and working here gave me another point of reference: another way of looking at time, initiative, relationships, value, and how people make decisions.
It also made some of my own assumptions more visible.
That contrast has become an important part of how I work, particularly when businesses, people, and markets do not begin from the same point of view.
Today
Today I live in Revigliasco Torinese, just outside Turin.
Through Buonquillo, I work directly with business owners, founders, family businesses, producers, and organizations that need to make what they know and what they offer clearer to the people they want to reach.
The work takes different forms, but it begins in the same place: understanding the business before deciding how to explain it.
