Strategic Communication

You know your business.Explaining it is another matter.

That gap is where this work begins.

Understanding the business

I start with the people who know the business best — those who live it from the inside.

Its history. The decisions that shaped it. Knowledge accumulated through experience. The standards people protect. The values they practice. What has changed, and what should not be lost.

Careful questions and close listening reveal what people in the business know, where their explanations differ, and what needs to be clarified.

From there, we determine what is true, what matters, and what customers need to understand in order to choose you.

This work is most useful when the business has history, experience, and something real to offer, but the way it is explained has not caught up.

Clarity begins with understanding.

Selected Work

CasaMatilda

The philosophy came before the business.

CasaMatilda appeared to be a collection of different activities: a working farm, hospitality, food production, and a vinegar cellar.

Listening to Anna and Fabio revealed that they were different expressions of the same philosophy.

The work was to make that connection clear — so guests and customers could understand why CasaMatilda is one word: the farm, the pantry, and the vinegar cellar are different expressions of the same philosophy.

"It gave us a clear way to communicate and helped people better understand CasaMatilda," Fabio says.

Ottica Benzi

The value was already there. The language was missing.

Monica Benzi had developed a deeply personal way of working with people who came to her for eyewear.

Her customers experienced the difference. Someone discovering Ottica Benzi for the first time could not necessarily understand it.

The work was to make that difference clear before they entered the shop.

"We even had our first online booking because of it," Monica says.

Tell me what brought you here.

You do not need to have the problem already defined.

If something about the business has become difficult to explain — and it's getting in the way of a sale, a partnership, an expansion, or how clearly the business can represent itself — that is enough of a place to begin.
