Bridge — International Market Understanding

Understanding has to travelin both directions.

Bridge is a continuing collaboration between Italy and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Exchange

Since 2024, I have worked with Professor Ingrid S. Greene to examine how Italian businesses are understood by people outside the markets and cultures that already know them.

Professor Greene brings academic structure, international-business frameworks, and the perspective of students encountering unfamiliar companies.

I bring relationships with Italian businesses and a working knowledge of their histories, decisions, standards, and local realities.

Together, we look at both sides.

Purpose

A business needs to explain what it makes, what gives it value, and what it can realistically deliver.

At the same time, another market has its own expectations, conditions, and ways of understanding value.

Interest does not automatically create demand.

Bridge creates a setting where both sides can learn enough to determine whether the opportunity is real.

The studies have included businesses in agriculture, hospitality, technology, and industry.

A new phase, The Real Italy, began in Fall 2026.
